Mrs. Amy Lopez, Principal, Biography

Amy Lopez is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in educational administration. Over the past twenty years, she's had the opportunity to work in a variety of public and private educational settings. Amy is currently the proud Principal of Belvedere Elementary School in West Palm Beach. Mrs. Lopez's previous roles have included Specialist with the Department of Professional Development, Principal of St. Clare Catholic School and St. Luke Catholic School, A Notre Dame ACE Academy. She also has served in Palm Beach County Schools as an Assistant Principal, ESOL and Dual Language Coordinator, Choice Coordinator, and an elementary teacher. Some of her responsibilities as an instructional leader have included: student achievement results, talent development, strategic planning, management of the daily operations of schools, and regular communication with staff, students, and parents.
Mrs. Lopez has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. Amy also attended Florida Atlantic University for her certification in Educational Leadership K-12. Mrs. Lopez is bilingual in English and Spanish, is married with two children, volunteers at her church, enjoys reading, cooking, and making a positive difference in the lives of children.
Mr. Scott Gayle, Assistant Principal, Biography

Scott Gayle serves as the Assistant Principal at Belvedere Elementary School. A proud product of the School District of Palm Beach County, Mr. Gayle is a passionate advocate for children’s literacy. Before his promotion, he gained valuable insights into student needs—academic, social, and emotional—through roles as a reading coach, classroom teacher, substitute teacher, and after school counselor.
During his tenure at Belvedere Elementary, Mr. Gayle has been a driving force behind innovative initiatives. He successfully launched the school's first Spanish Dual Language Program in 2021, significantly expanding opportunities for bilingual and biliteracy. Additionally, he spearheaded the implementation of the Accelerated Math Program (AMP), designed to challenge and advance students in mathematics starting in third grade.
Mr. Gayle holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. His diverse background and visionary leadership continue to contribute significantly to the success and growth of Belvedere Elementary School. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, playing tennis and swimming.
Ms. Crisna Collins, SSCC, Biography

Ms. Crisna Collins is a proud bilingual Haitian American, born and raised in Delray Beach, Florida. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University and later received her Master's in Education from the University of West Florida. Ms. Collins is entering her 13th year in education.
She began her career in the classroom, teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. During these years, she developed a strong passion for building positive learning environments and supporting both students and fellow educators. Her leadership journey began as a mentor and team lead, eventually guiding her into her current role as a School Culture Coordinator. In this position, Ms. Collins focuses on empowering teachers, enhancing student engagement, and fostering a school culture built on excellence, collaboration, and inspiration.
When she is not at school, Ms. Collins enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. She finds joy in creating a warm, welcoming home and making lasting memories with her family. She’s excited to be part of a school year filled with transformation and new opportunities.
