Summer School 2022

Dear Student and Families,

Welcome to Belvedere Elementary Summer School. My name is Scott Gayle, and  I will be your Summer School Site Administrator. I am thrilled to have the following schools on our campus for Summer School: Belvedere, Palmetto, Palm Beach Public, Palmetto, West Gate, and U.B. Kinsey/Palmview Elementary. We are extremely excited about working with you and your child this summer. Our faculty is highly qualified and will do their best to meet your child’s academic needs.

Our Summer School Site Offers Four Programs:

  • Summer Reading Academy (SRA) (3rd grade)

  • Extended School Year (ESY ~ PreK –5th grade)

  • ESOL Summer Program (K –2nd grade)

  • Rising Stars Program (1st and 2nd grade) (New District Program)

Attendance Dates/Time:  

  • Monday, June 6 – Thursday, July 7, 2022 (No School on Fridays)

  • No school on Monday, July 4, 2022

  • Time 8:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.  

  • Your child’s daily attendance is extremely important.  

Safety: For safety reasons, parents will NOT be allowed to accompany their child beyond the front entrance.


Transportation: please visit the “Summer School Bus Info” tile on the student portal (https://www.mysdpbc.org/SSO/Portal) to find your child’s bus route/stop/time information. Please keep checking as minor changes may occur.

Dress Code:  Students are asked to wear solid khaki, navy, black or blue bottoms (jeans are acceptable but no holes in jeans) and solid t-shirts or polo shirts. School spirit shirts from your child’s regularly attended school are acceptable; collars are not required.  No tank-tops or flip flops allowed.  Shoes must be closed toe. Sneakers are recommended for safety purposes.

Arrival/Breakfast:  For safety and supervision, students are not allowed on campus before 8:30 a.m. Breakfast is served from 8:30a.m.-9:00 a.m.  All students will report to the cafeteria to eat breakfast and wait for their teacher to pick them up in the cafeteria.  Instruction begins promptly at 9:00 am.  All students must be on campus and in class by 9:00 or they will be considered tardy.

Dismissal/Lunch:  Students will be escorted to lunch and dismissal areas by their teacher/assigned staff.   If you are utilizing car pickup, please be in the car loop area no later than 2:05 p.m.  Assigned car passes must be placed on the passenger side dashboard. Bus students will be dismissed at 2:10pm. Walkers will be dismissed at 2:15pm and exit at the gate on Omar Road, just by the entrance/exit gates. All students must be picked up no later than 2:30 p.m.
